IFRS Foundation publiceert gedetailleerde analyse van IFRS-landprofielen

De IFRS Foundation heeft een bijgewerkte versie van de 'Financial Reporting Standards Standards for the World Economy’ gepubliceerd. Hieruit blijkt dat IFRS in 140 rechtsgebieden wordt gebruikt.

Van de 140 rechtsgebieden waar IFRS voor de financiële verslaggeving wordt gebruikt, zijn er 116 (83 procent) waar het gebruik van IFRS voor beursgenoteerde bedrijven en financiële instellingen verplicht is. In de overige 24 rechtsgebieden is het gebruik van IFRS niet vereist, maar is dat wel toegestaan.

De IFRS Foundation: ‘We are not yet at the point at which IFRS adoption is total and complete for publicly accountable entities around the world. But, if one considers that just 15 years ago very few jurisdictions even permitted IFRS, we have made extraordinary progress in a short period of time.’
